Thank you for stopping by, below is a small introduction of myself
I am a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) with Certifications in Hypnotherapy, Time line therapy and Life Coaching. I am also a qualified Counsellor with additional training in Grief and Loss Counselling, an Early Childcare Educator, Public Speaker, Workshop Facilitator and Mentor.
As a young girl I suffered extreme abuse on a daily basis and because of the extent of my injuries I was kept home from school often to avoid questioning. Although my early education was very intermittent I completed three years of primary school. Also due to my circumstances at the time I was unable to attend high school so I was definitely not literate in any sense. Despite my educational set backs and childhood traumas I found the courage to return to school through out my thirties and forties and this is where I gained the above qualifications.
On obtaining my qualifications I have had the opportunity to work in different areas of the health and wellness industry however, I find myself draw to supporting and assisting female survivors of childhood abuse and trauma. My commitment and drive for helping women is deep rooted. As mentioned above, having been subjected to significant abuse and trauma from a very early age, and having grown up in children’s homes and foster care, I learnt about life in a very unorthodox way. Having never been taught about values, morals or foundational life skills from anyone, I learnt solely through trial and error. The outcomes of my trials helped me to develop empathy, compassion and a positive vision. Through my own lived experiences I know that we are stronger and more resilient than we give ourselves credit for however, often due to circumstances that are beyond our control we are not always aware of our full potential.
As a result of my own lived experience with childhood abuse and trauma I was fortunate to receive a great deal of practical help over the years along with a wealth of knowledge that has aided my recovery. It is my intention to use what I have learnt to support and assist other female survivors of abuse and trauma. Through my Recovery Counselling Practice, workshops and speaking engagements my vision is to empower and inspire women to move beyond their past and their trauma to live a life of full potential. I know its possible!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.”
